US DoE Green Button Energy Prototype App

Creator·2011

Early ML-based energy analytics application recognized by the U.S. CTO and Department of Energy.

Green Button was a government-led initiative to standardize utility data. We built one of the first ML-powered analytics applications on top of it — visualizing energy consumption patterns and surfacing anomalies. The U.S. CTO and Department of Energy recognized the work publicly, which opened enterprise doors we couldn't have knocked on alone. It was an early lesson in the leverage that standards and government alignment create for startups.
